Jessie and Kyle ~ Wisconsin wedding photographer

“If two pieces of twine are twisted together, they’ll unravel,” the pastor said as Jessie and Kyle stood hand-in-hand at the altar. “But if three pieces of twine — husband, wife and God — are braided together and tied with a knot, they’ll never come undone.”

This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of spending some time with Jessie and Kyle on their very special day. This day was a long time coming — Jessie booked me nearly 2.5 years ago! Through the years, I watched Jessie endure something not too many brides are faced with — distance. Kyle was working in Texas while Jessie was finishing up her schooling here in Wisconsin. She’d count down the days until she could see him next. Some people say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but these two high school sweethearts have been head over heels in love since the very beginning. I see it in his eyes, and I hear it in her words.

I simply couldn’t have asked for a sweeter pair.

Jessie’s niece was helping her put on her shoes. Sigh! These are the moments you never want to forget. 🙂

Jessie has been following my blog since she booked me, so she had a pretty good idea of how things were going to go. 🙂 At the beginning of the day, she said to me, “I can’t wait for the time during pictures when it’s just Kyle and I.” Music to my ears. 🙂

The reception was held at Kestrel Ridge, so right before the cocktail hour, we hopped in a couple golf carts and explored a few pretty spots.

As we speak, Jessie and Kyle are beginning their life together in Texas. I wish you two all the love in the world, and please come back to visit (or stay)! 😉 Congratulations once again.
